Fable Legends Review
Myths, Fables, Legends, and Fairy Tales are all considered types of stories. Though they are all types of stories, they have some key differences. A myth is a traditional story that is used to explain a belief or perspective of the world. They are often used to provide a reason for the way the world is, such as the myths about the Greek gods. Each was a god of a particular part of nature or idea. They were said to be the reason that part of nature existed. A legend is a story that has been passed down through generations via oral storytelling. They are usually stories about real people, places, and events of the past. The facts within these stories are known to be somewhat exaggerated. A fable’s overall purpose is to teach a lesson or a moral using characters that cannot talk in real life (such as animals, plants, and forces of nature). Fairy tales are stories for children that often include a magical or supernatural element, such as elves, witches, or special animals. These stories most often begin with the phrase Once upon a time.
Hi guys! Welcome to this Mometrix video on Myths, Fables, Legends, and fairy tales.A lot of you have probably grown up with your parents reading you books or watching movies with you. Well, chances are, most of what they read to you was a Myth, Fable, Legend, or fairy tale.
Fable Legends is an upcoming action role-playing game developed by Lionhead Studios, with an expected 2015 release date. Unlike the other games released in the Fable series, this upcoming title will be a free-to-play video game on both Windows and Xbox One. Dec 20, 2015 Sup Guys, K.Barz(GT:RollHerCoastHer) here giving you my review of LionHead Studio's Fable Legends BETA. Today I will give my prospective of.
Let’s look at what makes something a myth, fable, legend, or fairy tale.
A myth is a story that was made up by people who wanted to explain how or why our world works, how it came to be, how we should treat each other, why hurricanes happen, and so on.
Myths were sort of like our ancient ancestors’ version of science. Myths explained how natural events occurred and are set in really ancient times; before history even began. These myths are generally passed on from parents to kids, and when those kids grew up to be parents, they would tell their kids, and so on. The word “Myth” actually comes from the Greek word “mythos” meaning “word of mouth.”
Myths were shared by groups of people all throughout the world and became a really big part of their community. Greek mythology is one of the most popular examples of this. Their myths generally centered around various gods and goddesses. Sometimes days were even set apart to have big celebrations because of these myths.
Legends! Legends are stories that people made up as well. However, legends are about real life people and what they did. Legends always have an important purpose, but the facts are always a little exaggerated to make them more interesting and exciting! Generally, some of the facts are dramatically altered and the person the legend is about never really did what the story says.
Now, a fable is also a story that is passed down. A fable’s overall purpose is to teach a lesson. However, all the characters in a fable are things that can’t normally talk. A fable is about animals, plants, or forces of nature that can talk and act like humans.
Fairy tales are probably one of the most popular today. Fairy tales are specifically for kids, and often have a lot to do with magic; like a fairy godmother, elves, or any supernatural character. Animals can also be characters in a fairy tale. Fairy tales always have good characters and evil characters. A lot of times fairy tales begin by saying “once upon a time.”
So let’s do a quick review:

Uniting thrilling stories, exciting combat and heroic quests with the next generation capabilities of the Xbox One and Windows 10 PC, Fable Legends is the forthcoming adventure in the genre defining series Fable. Magic is rife and all manner of creatures and miscreants inhabit the world off the beaten track. Eyes watch the unwary from the shadowy canopy of the forest. Are you brave enough to venture outside the walls of Brightlodge?
Will you leave the welcoming taverns and the even more welcoming arms of Betsy (or Brian) the barkeep and strike a new path into the unknown? There are quests and treasure aplenty awaiting you if you do. ALBION NEEDS HEROES And you can take on the role of any. Fearless warriors, cunning tricksters, intoxicated brawlers, masters of Will, heartless mercenaries or paragons of virtue, even Chicken chasers (gotta catch 'em to kick 'em). But you won't be sent out to battle the fearsome beasties alone. Indeed that would be the fastest way to have a song written about you not one you would want repeating though Fear not for thy kneecaps!
Three heroic comrades will join you. You'll even be able to personalise your heroes, by kitting them out in new armour and weapons. Some you might even find in the chests scattered around the land, stumbling upon them whilst questing. Lovely, shiny, deadly rapiers, sabres, longswords that you can improve, or infuse with the power of the elements by adding augments. IF ALL THAT SEEMS A BIT NOBLE. Maybe playing bad is more up your dark, murderous alley? Villain players get to set traps, command creatures and ambush bothersome do-gooders.
Ultimately you can be the big bad thing the citizens of Albion are afraid of. Muster your minions, rally your redcaps, order your ogre to smash those squishy heroes.
Doesn't that sound delicious? Oh the power, the infamy, the tight black leather britchesHave we whetted your appetite?
Albion needs you. Live in legend or live in infamy. The choice is yours. A WORLD RIPE FOR ADVENTURE Set several hundred years before the events of the first Fable game, Fable Legends takes you back to Fable's dark fairytale roots, to a time when Albion is young and full of raw magic. The Old Kingdom has fallen, and a wilder land grows out of the ruins, dangerous and ripe for adventure. Patchworks of primitive villages and towns huddle together in a sea of hostile wilderness.
It's too risky for your average yokel to travel, so trade and communication are limited, and people are suspicious of outsiders. Each hamlet has its own distinct customs and ways of relating to the magic that surrounds them. Even the village just the other side of the hill has enough funny accents, odd clothes and bizarre turnip-rituals to make strangers seem really strange. While magic may be more common, it's also uncontrolled. Strange and dangerous creatures lurk everywhere outside the safety of the campfires and village walls.
The most danger villagers risk is scuttling down the bottom of the garden to clean out the chickens, and even that's asking for trouble (some of the little clucky buggers have pretty sharp beaks). But not everyone hides by the fireside. Albion has always been able to find the special few willing to answer the call. Wanderers, adventurers, masters of Will. Old eccentrics and young upstarts.
