Red currants are planted just like beans or rye, etc. They are a 24 hr harvest time, and you must be a certain level to have it available (I don't recall the level needed, but you should still be able to see it on the list, it just won't have a BUY option). I believe they also need the higher level hotbed, but I'm not sure on that. If you look on the map when you're new, you can see names there. Anything outside Blue Valley (the place you start) the name you see will be an area name.

Once you do whatever action necessary to access that area, that name goes away in favor of individual place names & icons which, for that area, are the ones Wen listed.If you open the map and can't see Nameless Forest (it's there about in the middle), that means you've already gotten access to it, whether by doing the action needed to open it or by having a plane.Having the aeroplane itself gains you access to every station without doing anything further (and in fact the actions to open the individual areas will not be usable).
